By rights we should feel safe in peacefully demonstrating, but obviously that is not the case. The right of the people to peacefully assemble is all but gone. Police cannot or in some cases will not protect you depending on your political affiliation. Mostly this action or inaction by police is directed by the politics of the local mayor. I have no plans to engage in any demonstration or for that matter be part of any sort of crowd.
