2012 TEA New York Objectives

We have an opportunity this year like never before in New York to change Albany, what you decide to do over the next couple of months can make or break this effort. Hopefully you will choose to dive in for a few weeks and help out where ever you can.

Over the past year we have been interviewing good candidates for the NY State Senate and Assembly, as well as the US Congress and US Senate. Below is a list of our endorsed candidates to date.

The State Senate candidates have promised to form an independent caucus and vote to replace Dean Skelos as Majority Leader, a symbolic act which will let the entire Senate and Assembly know who they work for, that the status quo and other “cozy” relationships with Cuomo, Silver and the Albany establishment are unacceptable, RINOS’s are unacceptable and the entrenched Albany establishment leadership is unacceptable.

These Senate candidates have vowed to read Bills, vote according to their constituents and districts not the way the Party bosses tell them to vote. The Senate can stop any Bills coming from the assembly, they can stop all the nonsense dead in it’s tracks. So having this advantage, Bill and Laws will finally have to be crafted and written that will help the hard working taxpayers of this state. Once again the People will have a voice not just the influential, money bearing special interest groups and lobbyists that permeate the halls of Albany.

In the Assembly it is crucial that we take away the veto proof majority from Sheldon Silver.

Determine which candidate is in your district, or if none, reach out to one nearby and help him or her.

We hope that you will help us turn Albany Upside down this year. It may be our last chance.
