–George collects very large contributions from public employee and trade unions. If he acts like a democrat and quacks like a democrat, he’s not a republican. Isn’t it a conflict for a State Legislator to take money from the public employee unions when his job is to protect taxpayer interests and only approve union contracts fair to the taxpayers in wages, benefits, work rules, etc. Over the past 20 years on George’s
watch, the legislature his approved public employee contracts with terms that have continued to break the backs of the taxpayers.

–George Maziarz must return contributions from public employee unions, energy companies and other firms and people with whom he is conflicted.
–Notice many contributors are not from Western New York or George’s district. What favors do they seek that run against the best interests of George’s constituency?

1. Public employee unions –Donations of over $35,000 in 2012 alone noted herein. They seek to protect government employee union contracts, jobs, rights, benefits and rules. They buy protection from legislative efforts to protect the taxpayer by changing the Taylor Law and rescinding the Triborough Amendment.

2. Energy- Donations of over $1,000 in 2012 noted herein. Why isn’t it a crime to take political donations from energy companies including telecom, when you are the chairman of the NY State Senate Energy Committee dealing with energy rates, regulations, jobs, complaints and oversight. The conflict is obvious and abhorrent. George is expected to protect the taxpayers from greedy utilities that he takes money from. Hello!!!! George Maziarz should return all energy related contributions.

3. Trade unions – who donated over $20,000 in 2012 alone as noted herein, buy protection from Legislative efforts to change the Wick’s Law which deals with prevailing wages and bidding requirements that add enormous cost of government projects to the taxpayers.

4. NFR-(Niagara Falls Redevelopment) Donations of over $32,000 in 2012 alone as noted herein. NFR is owned by parasitic, wheeler dealer Howard Milstein who just happens to be the Chairman of New York State Empire Development and big time fundraiser for Andrew Cuomo. NFR owns the rights to 175 parcels, including significant structures in the core of the City of Niagara Falls. They obviously own George.
