Mariacher: A box of rocks?

- On September 2nd, the New York State Police busted Mariacher stealing his opponent’s signs and throwing them in the nearby woods.

No matter how you package him, David Mariacher is the wrong choice for New York State Assembly.

- Mariacher announced at an Evans Republican meeting “I’m going to fix Social Security.” When told Social Security is not a state program, he replied: “Oh. Really?”

- Mariacher told Carl Paladino he is prepared to move his family to Washington. When Carl told him the Assembly is in Albany, Mariacher replied: “Oh. Really?”

- When asked by Aurora Republicans why he’s running, Mariacher replied: “You tell me why am I running? I don’t know.”

- After his presentation at the Wyoming County GOP meeting, Board of Supervisors Chairman Doug Berwanger called Mariacher “Brain-dead”

- When asked at the Wyoming County fair what his first priority was in Albany, Mariacher said: “I just want to get along with everybody.”

- When asked by voters about his position on abortion, Mariacher said: “I’m pro-choice. But if something happened to my daughter I’d want it taken care of.”

- Mariacher told voters hydro-fracking is drilling for oil; he calls wind energy turbines “windmills.”

- When asked by the Springville Journal about the vital bridge issue hurting local businesses, Mariacher refused to comment – he had no clue.

- When major media outlets invited him to an August 21st debate with all Assembly candidates, Mariacher never even responded.

We need an Assemblyman who knows the issues affecting our neighborhoods and how to solve them – not a “yes man” for lobbyists and Albany insiders who will do exactly what he’s told.
