Put January 28th on our Calendar…Time To Boot Out ICLEI

Members concerned about the influence of the UN partner ICLEI on Roanoke County affairs should make their way to the January 28th Board of Supervisors meeting in Roanoke. With new members, it is time to raise an old argument…why on earth does Roanoke County pay money and take advise from this UN group that’s goal is to save us from a non-existent global warming menace?

How on earth does the county suggest they reduce CO2 levels by 30% in 6 years; which is the agreement they have made with ICLEI. Are they going to severely depopulate the county? Outlaw cars?

Because nothing short of these radical ideas would move the county anywhere near those goals by 2020. And why is this a goal when the always tenuous scientific links between climate change and CO2 levels continue to unravel before Al Gore’s eyes? 15 years of no change of global temperature despite higher CO2 levels continues to make a mockery of this theory.

Want to do something to help take a little bite out of the liberal agenda. Showing up at the January 28th Board of Supervisors meeting would be a good step. More on this over the next two weeks.
