Who is Roy W. Spencer?
Roy Spencer is a scientist. A real, honest-to-gosh been to school for a diploma in meteorology scientist. He received his Ph.D. at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1981. He was a senior scientist for Climate Studies at the Marshall Space Flight Center. He and Dr. John Christy received NASA’s Exceptional Scientific Achievement Medal for their global temperature monitoring work with satellites. You can read his full bio here.

What is important about Dr. Spencer is he has a blog explaining global warming.

Daily Caller reported that

White House science czar Dr. John Holdren told reporters that virtually all weather is being impacted by climate change and that droughts were getting “more frequent, they’re getting longer and they’re getting dryer.”

This “Czar” is the one who wants forced abortions to save the planet.

Dr. Spencer and University of Colorado scientist Roger Pielke, Jr. disagree. Dr. Spencer wrote the following on his blog…

In another silly pseudo-science rambling, the President’s science advisor, John Holdren, has recently stated, “Weather practically everywhere is being caused by climate change.”

Drought in California. Record snows in the East. It’s tempting for many to blame it all on our use of fossil fuels.

What Causes Weather?
Let’s start with the basics. Weather is caused by energy imbalances, primarily (1) between the solar heated surface of the Earth and the atmosphere above it, and (2) between different geographic regions (e.g. the tropics vs. high latitudes; the warm oceans versus cold continents in winter).

These energy imbalances have associated temperature differences, which in turn cause atmospheric circulation systems which form clouds, precipitation, and high and low pressure systems.
