Meeting this Thursday!

This Thursday, April 2 2015, is our next Roanoke Tea Party monthly meeting at the Tanglewood Holiday Inn at 6:30pm.

The weather shouldn’t be an issue so make sure to be there!

We have some unfinished items from last month, the next step in our sign project to decide on and a lot to talk about with this year’s local and state elections.

As you may have heard, Chris Head (pictured left) has a primary challenger this year in the 17th House District and Nancy Dye is running against John Edwards in 21st Senate District. One of our group is challenging George Assaid for the Republican nomination for Roanoke County Board of Supervisors in the Cave Spring District. The winner of that race will take on the ICLEI Queen, Charlotte Moore.

If you remember from our last meeting, we saw the evidence that Charlotte Moore is not only breaking local laws by building on her property without a building permit, but she is also secretly dumping commercial waste in Roanoke County. Yes, Roanoke County’s self acclaimed champion for the environment is a polluter.
