Contact Your Representative Now: The Bad Denham Discharge Petition is Gaining Speed

Rep. Jeff Denham (R-CA) is moving forward with his discharge petition (H. Res. 774) and just needs 5 more signatures to bring it to the floor. Republicans are scrambling to come up with a plan to oppose this measure.  This is terrible news, but we still have time to stop it from moving forward.

This “Queen of the Hill” resolution will force a vote on four immigration bills: Rep. Bob Goodlatte’s (R-VA) Securing America’s Future Act (H.R. 4760) which Eagle Forum has supported, Rep. Lucille Roybal-Allard’s (D-CA) Dream Act (H.R. 3440), Rep. Will Hurd’s (R-TX) USA Act (H.R. 4796), and a bill offered by the Speaker.  Whichever bill gets the most votes will pass. The Dream Act and the USA Act are predicted to get the most votes because they have Democrat support.  This would give amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants!

If either of these horrible bills pass, Republicans are going to be in trouble in their November elections. Tell your Congressman that the American people want to feel safe in their own country, have access to jobs, and don’t want to use their tax money to fund illegal activity.
