A group of high profile celebrities appear to be seeking out a quieter lifestyle hidden away in the Idaho countryside.

Several world famous faces have been spotted hiding out in the Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, on their vacations. It’s a tiny, traditional town in the northwest part of the state, located right on Lake Coeur d’Alene, only about a two hour drive from the Canadian border.

Everyone from the Gretzky family, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine, and former One Direction band member Harry Styles have been spotted at the locale. But it’s Coeur d’Alene’s political leanings that have everyone talking.

66% of Coeur d’Alene voted for Donald Trump in the 2016 general election. TMZ claims some KKK activity has been reported in the area, but most residents seem to keep to themselves and steer very clear of the Hollywood transplants.

Although their politics may differ, it’s pretty easy to understand why so many celebrities choose Coeur d’Alene for vacation. It’s absolutely gorgeous.

Coeur d’Alene (locally known as ‘CDA’) is 28 miles from my front door as the birdie flies, and 52.7 miles if you drive.  Essentially, CDA sits on the north shore of the lake, and we sit at the southern tip.  One can get on a boat in St. Maries and land in CDA.  They have a WalMart & everything – they are a big-time city!

We keep an eye on CDA from our little piece of heaven.  Too many Leftists from California, Oregon & Washington have settled – and continue to settle – there, influencing their politics. The article notes that 66% of voters in CDA voted for President Trump.  While that is outstanding – here in our county it was 74% who voted for the President.

CDA is a bit too Lefty-Loosey for many of us in North Idaho.
