“progressive” leftist “democrats” Are What’s Wrong With America

During an an interview on Friday, May 8, 2020, C-SPAN anchor Steve Scully asked Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi whether President Donald Trump is part of the next round of coronavirus legislative negotiations.  Pelosi responded by saying “I don’t have any idea what the President does.”  When Scully prompted Pelosi with “He said that the House is on vacation,” Pelosi snapped “You know what — don’t waste your time or mine on what he says.”

This shows why Washington DC is broken and America is starkly divided along highly partisan lines.

Nancy Pelosi doesn’t want to “waste time” on what Donald Trump says because they have distinctly different views about the path America and Americans should take.

President Trump wants to Make America Great Again.

Speaker Pelosi wants to make Americans dependent upon government.

President Trump wants Americans to live self sufficient, independent lives where they make their own decisions about which paths to follow.  President Trump wants Americans to be as free from big, intrusive government interference as possible.  He sees Americans as strong, capable, hard working people with the intelligence and ability to make their own decisions about God, family, country, work, recreation, and procreation.

Nancy Pelosi wants Americans to be dependent upon the state, living lives that big, centrally planned government dictates to “the masses.”  She sees Americans as incapable, lacking the intelligence and ability to make decisions for themselves.  To Pelosi, such grossly lacking people are wholly unworthy of being allowed to govern their own lives, much less their country.  At birth they must become wards of the state.  The state will decide what they study in school.  The state will determine who works, who has children, who lives and who dies.  The masses will be worker bees, devoted solely to the dictates of the hive mind.  Only select bees will be chosen to join as members of the privileged class.  This highly select, very privileged class of bees will make all decisions for the hive mind.  Any bees that refuse to cooperate with collectivist thought will be coldly rejected and summarily ejected from the hive.

They will be left to die in their pitiful, morally reprehensible, mentally inferior aloneness.

Neither President Trump and Speaker Pelosi are alone in their views.  Both have followers.

The question is:  Who do you want to be your leader?

On October 7, 1964, in his famous “A Time For Choosing” speech, Ronald Reagan recognized then what Americans must now recognize once again.  On that day he stated:  “This is the issue of this election: Whether we believe in our capacity for self-government or whether we abandon the American Revolution and confess that a little intellectual elite in a far-distant capitol can plan our live for us better than we can plan them ourselves.”

Americans need not just recognize, but act upon this.

Which America do you envision?  Which America do you choose?
