I am not personally privy to the training police get in different areas of the US. I have been fortunate to have lived where the police (years ago from work exp.) where trained well in one state and a few miles to another where poorly trained. Where I worked the police all had a psych exam they had to pass before being hired. I really noticed a difference between the two police forces in these Cities.
Now its appalling that PETA is concerned over the mental health of animals by those who take great care to hunt by the book. That is they wait for a clear shot to instantly kill there well identified prey. The animal does not know what hit them. Most Hunters I know have more regard for assessment of a target before firing a single round.
Now we have a Father who has sustained trauma along with his young daughter. If you cannot sleep or even sit in your own home without fear of being shot by intruders after this, you are not normal. It is also very disturbing that the normal ones are now to be feared!. Our tax money is being used to cause mental health issues while also paying to lesson them.
We can put every Tom, Dick and Harry on anti depressants, yet there is no out cry by any Doctor on the implications of Mental Health on Victims of Police Brutality. Perhaps if we where considered as important as animals by PETA this would be addressed in the media more than just a shock and awe story.
