Back in 1978 I was out in the front yard (very pregnant with my second son) playing with my first son and offered $50,000 per child.
This is a true story.
My neighbor said her husband and wife that lived in Barrington Hills, IL ( a very rich suburb) told her to offer this to me, that they would pay cash for either or both.
Another story – With my oldest, he had blond hair and hazel eyes, very beautiful looking baby. We were shopping. As I would walk just one step away from the shopping cart, this lady would walk one step towards him.
I had a very funny feeling, like a prey / victim feeling so after playing his cat and mouse game for about five minutes, I left my cart, grabbed my child and left.

As far as the state taking one of my babies, it would have been over my dead body. I would have left the room, left the building, screamed, fought – even killed anyone trying to take one of my babies.
