What passes as American Ignorance or even dumbing down in most cases is nothing of the sort.
It is deliberate mind f_cking by electronic means which has been going on for decades.
The question is what level are they up to now.
 This mind f_cking is possibly the reason Americans don’t get irony or sarcasm which requires the critical thinking and intuitive part of the brain and is probably the reason they don’t immediately perceive or  get the media lies when it is obvious they are lying, which is all the time.
It is probably the reason they don’t carry guns. 
It is probably the reason they eat Macdonalds even though it is deliberately designed to make them fat and compliant.
It is probably why they accept the gay and pedo agenda in primary schools.
It is probably why they accept the outrageous raid on Trumps home.
It is probably why the don’t bat an eyelid when the media promotes cannibalism and tries to normalise pedophilia.
All I can say is what Christ said in the Apocalypse, “Come out of her my people, so that you share not in her sins lest you be consumed by them [her plagues].” Revelations 18.4.
And to give it context the previous verse says

All the nations have drunk the wine of the passion of her immorality. The kings of the earth were immoral with her, and the merchants of the earth have grown wealthy from the extravagance of her luxury.
The kings of the earth are Europe and China. The merchants of the earth are the multinationals, especially drugs and weapons.
