Hyderabad Heritage Marathon will take place on 23 September, 2012. Both events (marathon and half marathon) will start at Chowmahalla Palace and end at Qutub Shahi Tombs. However, start times differ for each race. The run has been measured and accredited by Association of International Marathons and Road Races (AIMS), and is only for runners above 18 years. A time limit for the marathon has been set for 7 hours and 3.5 hours for the half marathon.

Foreign and domestic runners are encouraged to enter as are amateurs. Prize money will be distributed between both classifications with 1st prize winners awarded Rs 1,00,000 respectively. Amateurs prize winnings will also be awarded.

Entry fees are Rs 600 per person. Register to participate on the official Hyderabad Heritage Marathon website.
