Top 5 Mexico Must-See’s

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

When booking holiday deals, many choose to jet off to Mexico for the sun, sand and sea. However, it’s a destination that has so much more to offer than divine beaches. You’ll be flying for around 11 hours to reach your holiday haven, so make the most of it while you’re there. Tick these Mexico must-see’s off of your list:

1 – Cozumel Park

If you want a delicious taster of some of the greatest things about Mexico than pay a visit to Cozumel Park. With replicas of Mayan landmarks, a Mexican history museum and the opportunity to take a ‘Tequila and Taco’ tasting tour, you could say that a trip to Cozumel Park is like a lesson in Mexico for beginners.

2 – Dolphins

Swimming and interacting with dolphins is a popular experience to find in Mexico. Dolphinaris is one of the biggest names to look out for, with four locations in the most popular Mexico destinations of Cancun, Cozumel, Riviera Maya and Tulum.

3 – Chichen Itza

If you have even a passing interest in Mayan history than the ancient ruins of Chichen Itza have to be on your Mexico sightseeing hit list. The famous Chichen Itza pyramid is the main attraction but there is plenty more to see and learn on site. Take an official tour to get the most out of your trip.

4 – Xcaret

Mexico’s underground water caves (cenotes) are a big draw for tourists, and you really do need to experience them at least once during your holiday to Mexico. Doing so in the safe environment of the Xcaret eco-park is a good bet for beginners, and there’s lots more to see and do here, including spectacular shows, lagoons, beaches, animal and botanical areas, and more.

5 – Yaax Che Jardin Botanico

Mexico is a lush and green country, so take the time out to experience that at one of the vast botanic parks. This is one of the best, with knowledgeable staff and a wide variety of local and exotic plants.

There are many Mexico holiday deals available right now for 2013. Make the most of them by leaving the sunlounger behind for some of your trip!
