One World Observatory Opening Next Month

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

The highly anticipated One World Observatory will be opening up next month. Tickets just recently went on sale for this attraction. If you are going to be in New York City this summer, this is definitely one place that you will want to visit.

The Logistics
The One World Observatory will be located on levels 100-102 in the One World Trade Center, which is the Western Hemisphere’s tallest building. The One World Trade Center stands at 1,776 feet high, which is coincidentally the year that the Declaration of Independence was signed: 1776. Because of the height, visitors will see some amazing views of New York City as they will be 1,250 feet above the ground. There are also some interactive features that may impress visitors such as the “Sky Pod” elevators that can go from the ground floor to the 102nd floor in less than a minute. Located on the 100th floor there is the Main Observatory that features an interactive skyline concierge of sorts. The Sky Portal will offer real time views, in high definition, of the streets below on a circular disc that is 14 feet wide.

Ticket Information
The One World Observatory will be open on May 29, 2015. Tickets went on sale on April 8th. Tickets for those ages 13-64 are $32, children ages 6-12 are $26 and those 5 and under are free. For seniors 65 or over, tickets are $30. From May 29-September 7, 2015 the One World Observatory will be open seven days a week from 9 am to midnight. From September 8-May 5, 2016 it will be open from 9 am to 8 pm. Final entry time is 45 minutes before it closes. Tickets are “timed” and have a printed entry time on them. Guests will need to arrive approximately 15 minutes before their entry time in order to gain access to the One World Observatory. There are also guided tours available for those that want to learn as much as possible about this attraction and what went into building it.

This attraction is highly anticipated among not only New Yorkers, but many individuals around the world as well. There’s a lot to see at the One World Observatory and cameras are allowed and guests are encouraged to take pictures. If you are planning on visiting it in the next couple months it’s best to purchase tickets as soon as possible as they may sell out.
