3 Reasons to fall in love with Paris

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

To know Paris inside out, or indeed to know Paris even well is something that would take a lifetime. Even Parisians themselves can’t ever proclaim they have seen and felt all the city has to over – it’s simply impossible. But, one must start somewhere and why not start with the big ones – the must sees, the symbols of Paris and the places you will be talking about for years to come.

3 of the grandest tourist attractions in Paris

  1. The Louvre Museum

The Lourve represents much more than Paris, it’s also a representation of France as a whole and as the world’s largest and most diverse collection of pre-20th century paintings, sculptures and decorative objects – it’s a place globally admired for its art. The Lourve is home to the Mona Lisa and the Venus de Milo but be sure to also make time to visit the less crowded wings and see the works of Vermeer, Caravaggio, Rembrandt, and countless others. Don’t just visit the Lourve, explore it – with a variety of activities, tours, exhibitions and events, you have every reason to embark on the entire Lourve experience and why wouldn’t you? It’s magnificent, educational and remarkable – regardless of your level of interest in art – The Lourve will impress everyone.

  1. The Arc de Triomphe

Standing at the centre of Place de l’Étoile, the hub from which 12 grand avenues radiate to, climbing to the Arc de Triomphe offers you panoramic viewing or the highest degree. You’ll see Paris like you’ve never seen it before – allowing you to gaze down each avenue into the city. It’s a wonderful place to admire the taut geometry of Paris’s urban plan, and you’ll also be wowed by the rows of almost eerily neatly trimmed trees which line each avenue. And of course, what is a view is Paris without the ability to set eyes on the Eiffel Tower? You can spot the Eiffel Tower in its entirety from here — it’s close enough for you to marvel at its construction. But be well warned, the traffic around the Arc is chaotic and like every place worth visiting as a tourist – it’s crawling with tourists but don’t be deterred — the Arc is busy for very good reason.

  1. The Eiffel Tower

Of course, visiting Paris wouldn’t be complete without seeing and experiencing The Eiffel Tower: the epitome of French architecture and one of the most romantic places in the world. The tower was built in 1889 and up until 1930 the Eiffel Tower was the world’s tallest man-made structure. The Tower has three levels, and for those that are looking for a meal with a view – there are restaurants on the first and the second floors. Most visitors use the elevators to the first and second levels, though there are stairs for the very energetic. Access to the top is by elevator only. Buying tickets in advance is recommended and you should also be prepared for queuing as with such a popular attraction – it is to be expected.

Staying in Paris is a dream for the young and old. You will find an array of stunning boutique hotels in Paris, both budget and luxurious to suit all your needs – so what are you waiting for? Get to Paris and see what all the fuss is about.
