Must Have Essentials To Pack For The Snow

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

If you’re not used to cold weather, you probably have no idea what to bring with you when visiting a snowy climate. You might have the urge to buy everything in sight or to just wing it and barely pack anything. Either scenario can be a disaster and you could wind up ruining your vacation. The following items are essential if you plan on being in the snow.

Apparel
If you don’t wear the right apparel you will find yourself cold and wet fairly quickly. Many snow novices pack items that simply do not provide enough protection, even though they are fashionable. You need to make sure that items like gloves, hats and scarves are waterproof and thick enough to provide an adequate amount of warmth. Wool items are especially beneficial as the thick material can help keep your body heat in and the cold temperatures out. It’s very important to keep your feet protected as well. Wear thick sock and waterproof shoes. In order to keep your whole body warm, invest in a good ski jacket and pants. There’s nothing like falling down in the snow while skiing and finding that your jacket and pants are wet because they aren’t waterproof. It’s one quick way to ruin a vacation.

Sunglasses
Despite there being snow, chances are that it still may be very sunny. The sun can reflect off the snow and cause damage to the eyes. Choose sunglasses that block UV rays. For even more protection wear ski goggles that block the glare that can come in under the bottom or sides of the glasses.

Lip And Skin Protection
Just like with your eyes, you need to protect your skin and lips from the sun. Pick a sunblock with at least a 15 SPF rating. Choose lip balm that will protect the lips as well. Make sure it has a moisturizing component to it as your lips are bound to get chapped from the frigid temperatures. Don’t forget to reapply these items every few hours.

Warmers
After coming in from the cold you will probably need to warm up despite how bundled up you are. Have neck and hand warmers on hand. These items are fairly inexpensive and are made to bring your body heat up fairly quickly. If you don’t want to purchase these types of items, a good old cup of hot chocolate or coffee will certainly do the trick.

Snow can be really unfortunate and spoil all travel but it’s better than rain. I remember how it was raining during the last trip to Europe, we were in Poland and then went to Ukraine. Took a car https://ukr-prokat.com/en/rental-cars/suvs and it was an amazing trip.
