Are you ready for some football?! Football season is now in full swing and if you are a hardcore fan, you may be wanting to travel around the country to catch a game. There are actually some great cities for football fans to visit, not just to see a game, but to explore as well. Check out our recommendations below the the Best Cities for Football Fans to Visit.

Chicago

Inside The Stadium

Opened in 1924, Soldier Stadium was built as a memorial to fallen American soldiers.  The Bears have a loyal fan base that even tailgate in the snow.  Soldier Stadium has a lot of great food. Gyros, popcorn chicken, bratwursts and salad jars are all popular choices. You can also find unique options such as Pork &  Mindy’s pig candy where you can get candied bacon or bacon brittle.  Just make sure you pace yourself accordingly as there are a lot of things to try here.

Throughout The City

Chicago is a city that certainly won’t disappoint any football fan. Art on the Mart is a pretty popular attraction for both tourists and locals. You can see works of four different artists that are each displayed on projectors five nights a week. After this two hour show, there is a fireworks display that takes place. If you can, go on an Odyssey Cruise while you are in Chicago. You can see a nice view of the Chicago River while enjoying live music.

San Francisco

Inside The Stadium

Levi’s Stadium is certainly unforgettable. The scoreboard lights are very bright and you can just feel the energy while here. If you do happen to visit this stadium, make sure you check out the massive statues of Joe Montana and Dwight Clark. They weigh 350 pounds and are very memorable. One thing to keep in mind is that there isn’t really any shade here, so if you will be visiting the stadium during the day to catch a game, make sure you wear a hat and put on plenty of sunblock.

Throughout The City

There’s a lot to do in San Francisco, which makes it a great city for football fans to visit. Golf is pretty phenomenal here. Even if you don’t want to play 18 holes, you can try your hand at some mini-golf at Stagecoach Greens. There are also plenty of food trucks to grab a bite to eat at as well as a beer garden. While in San Francisco, make sure you check out the food scene. You will find everything from fine dining to more laid-back options.

Washington D.C.

Inside The Stadium

The FedExField is one of the best stadiums in the country to watch a football game. The views of the field are unobstructed so you won’t miss all of the action going on. There are also dozens of TVs scattered about. As far as concessions go, you can find everything from Bloody Mary’s to nachos.

Throughout The City

There’s plenty to do in Washington D.C. This city is full of monument after monument, but if you are looking for something different to do, head over to the new development called The Wharf. It’s located on the waterfront and features shops, cafes, restaurants, bars and an Italian Market. You’ll find plenty to do here to fill your day.

That’s definitely worth seeing. I am a big fan of Manchester United and want to go to their main city. Unfortunately, it’s not on the list. I have already seen a couple of interesting matches at https://777score.nz/ and hope to get to their game soon.
