Animal Crossing New Horizons Halloween Update

Finally! A new Animal Crossing New Horizons Halloween Update is just days away. It feels like forever since the Summer update was released. It was great seeing the fireworks show every Sunday in August. Swimming and diving for deep-sea creatures has been fun as well, plus receiving a DIY from Pascal, but we were ready for something new! This new fall update is a spooktacular treat!

Here is what you will find in the Animal Crossing New Horizons Halloween Update

• Growing Pumpkins
  Throughout the month of October, you can grow pumpkins and use them for pumpkin-based DIY projects. With these DIYs, you will be able to decorate your home and island for the fall. You can obtain these pumpkins from Leif, or in Nook’s Cranny.
• Prepare for Halloween
  Find your outfit for Halloween by purchasing costumes at the Able Sisters during the month of October. You can even get body paint or colored contacts by exchanging Nook Miles. You will also receive Halloween DIY projects from your fellow residents. With Halloween approaching, don’t forget to stock up on candy. Candy can be purchased at Nook’s Cranny.
• Halloween Jack
  Halloween Jack is the Czar of Halloween. Jack wears an orange pumpkin with hollowed out eyes, a circle nose, and a jagged mouth smile. He wears a dark purplish robe, that fades to a lighter purple at the hem and sleeves. On October 1st, Jack shows up in your town and asks if you would be willing to serve him on the 31st of October by scaring the townspeople in a costume. When you agree he proceeds to give you a monster mask. Give him candy on Halloween Day & he will give you spooky furniture.

• Halloween Night
  On October 31, 2020, from 5:00pm to midnight, neighbors will gather in the plaza where you can play minigames to win candy.

Here are the mini-games you can play to win Candy:

• Rock-paper-scissors – Please note that villagers choose randomly.
• Made-ya-look – Look the same way as a villager using the D-pad and you will win. Again, random.
• Charades – You can actually win this. Follow the villagers’ clues and choose the answer based on their emotions and clues.
• During these spooktacular hours, make sure to give Jack candy to earn in-game treats, and don’t forget to give some to your neighbors or you might be pranked!
• Scare a villager in his or her house and she will give you a Lollipop.

Animal Crossings New Horizons Future Updates

There is still more to come in Animal Crossing New Horizons. In the video, Nintendo confirmed another update arriving in late November. Towards the end of the video, we are teased with Franklin and Jingle. Franklin is a turkey character that has appeared during the Harvest Festival. Jingle is an adorable reindeer that appears once a year on the 24th of December.
