With the present Covi-19 pandemic and people being forced to stay indoors, travel blogs seem to catch everyone’s attention. While most people thought that the new restrictions would be the death of the travel niche, the effects were quite the opposite. Earlier travel blogs were mostly read by people heading to that particular destination; today, they enjoy a much wider audience.

The reason is simple- people are now travelling virtually through these blogs. Well written travel blogs that have beautiful pictures and stock video to accompany them easily draw people’s attention. It takes the reader out of his or her immediate surroundings and gives a break from the monotony of everyday life.

With more readers for their content, the bloggers can easily monetize their site and earn a good amount of money. Apart from that too, there are several other ways in which the travel bloggers are earning a lucrative sum, compared to other niches. Let us look at some of them.

The popular travel bloggers also get a lot of offers from the brands for endorsement. In tech blogs, only tech products have the scope of being advertised and in food blogs, only the food-related items. But in the travel blogs, there is scope for all. Skincare ranges can advertise products such as sun creams which have wide utility during travel.

Appeal stores can endorse their clothes. Shoe brands can advertise active wears that can make walking during travel easy, and food brands can endorse easy to prepare packaged food for travel. These are just a few examples. The list is endless. In a world where PR and advertising have become so crucial, this gives an extra edge to the travel bloggers.

Collaborations With Hotels and Travel Companies

It is well known to all that once the situation goes back to normal, more and more people are likely to go out and travel. In fact, in the places where the restrictions have been considerably eased, the numbers are already overwhelming. To secure good business in the future, hotels and travel companies are going out of their way to advertise themselves.

The travel blogs give them just the opportunity that they have been looking for. When a popular travel blogger passes a favorable remark regarding their hotel or posts videos about their stay, it is likely that more people will get influenced to visit them.

Simillar is the case with travel companies. Bloggers often mention the name of the travel company that has arranged and orchestrated the entire travel plan for them. Bloggers are also good at advertising the various pros that going out with that travel company offers. Since the bloggers are real people who are sharing their seemingly real stories with us, more people are likely to be taken in by that than the advertisements via the other platforms.
