The latest polls leading up to Primary Day showed a 4 point margin of victory for Quinn over his rival, Democratic Comptroller Dan Hynes. The problem for Quinn is that he had a 20%+ point margin a month ago. There was a large segment of the electorate who consider themselves undecided going into primary day.

A new poll in the 2010 Illinois Democratic primary for governor has Governor Pat Quinn’s lead over Comptroller Dan Hynes shaved to 4 points.

Quinn, who had been leading Hynes by 26 points in December, now leads only 44%-40%, with 13% of primary voters undecided, according to a new poll by the Chicago Tribune.
