Manning & Wikileaks Are True Patriots by Definition

With the recent attention the media given to the Wikileaks.org situation, question have surfaced that attempt to vilify the act of leaking classified information to the public.  Instead of focus on the underlying root question they choose to tug at a persons patriotism, which is commonly misinterpreted. The questions vary in specificity depending on the distance from and to which side their readers tend to see themselves to be from center on the political scale.  Most fail to identify the fundamental underlying question that they all stem from. That fundamental question should be the one served to the people to swallow, not the sugar coated little sliver of the much larger piece of the pie.  

Questions like, “Do you think whistle-blowers should be prosecuted for their actions?” A popular question asked on many sites. Others like, “Does the The First Amendment of  The Constitution protect those from being held accountable for the damage they cause and the lives they put at risk by their leaks?”  The answer to this, would perceivable be different depending on what side of the pond you call home. Finally, “Is whistle blowing fundamentally right or wrong?” Each question, although targeting slightly different demographic of the population, only touch on a small aspect of a much larger, much broader fundamental realization that one must understand before they can give an honest answer that is unbiased from media influence.  

Break down each question and you will find there are assumptions being made that one must first agree to before they respond.  

Question one, asks you to first assume the information potentially leaked is of such importance that it supersede any moral set of values of right and wrong you were taught as a child. It wants you to make the statement that even if the leaks contains information showing crimes against humanity that it should not become public knowledge because it will harm the established ruling body. Second, it implies the importance of Government is far more greater that that of human life. Third, it pushes guilt on anyone who believes the rule of Law is to be followed by all except in cases where the Government feels its not bound. Finally, it attempts to make you feel guilty if you feel there are occasion when acts of civil disobedience are acceptable.

This second question, implies a more sinister tone comparing those who exercise their constitution rights are terrorist of the state. First implying the Government supersedes all else, and the constitution is not for you to use on the government itself, but for the government to use it to protect you from others. It wants you to believe that you owe the government for this protection and should be subservient to the extent that its your patriotic duty as an American to protect it at all costs, even if that means giving your life or to take anthers that may be rightfully defending its own existence. It wants to undermine your ability to think logically while at the same time erodes away at the foundation of that very thing that gives you the ability to do so.  

The final question, is a much broader generalized question that still avoids asking the person to dig deep and really think about the core of the matter, which I’ll get to in a moment.  Instead it attempts to be allusive and leverages protection by using preconceived instilled unconsciousness false perception of society through years of conditioning hammered daily by the media and other suggestive psychological methods established early on in our culture by the likes of Edward Bernays, who is more frequently referred to as the “father of public relations.” The act of labeling or branding someone with a buzz word that when herd invokes subconscious emotions to surface is clearly demonstrated with words like Conspiracy Theorists, whistle-blower, or propaganda.

The common underlying moral question intentionally skirted, is the question of whats has more value humanity or government. This is what each is asking, even thought it cloaks itself within a preconceived, or implied bias coating. It wants you to act the same as you would when someone makes a statement that would be considered conspiratorial in nature. The quick response to degrade or devalues the question by belittling it is a form of self-defense to anyone that tries to touch on your insecure feeling that you’re not as tough as you think, and you know there’s no government standing behind you to back you up, so you quickly respond the same way a school yard bully responds,  resorting to belittling those that differ from yourself when in really it’s you that are different.  So of course government is more important, your unpatriotic if you think otherwise.

Patriotism is love and devotion to one’s country. The word comes from the Greek patris, meaning fatherland. Patriotism, however, has had different meanings over time, and its meaning is highly dependent upon context, geography, and philosophy. Although patriotism is used in certain vernaculars as a synonym for nationalism, nationalism is not necessarily considered an inherent part of patriotism.  Among the ancient Greeks, patriotism consisted of notions concerning language, religious traditions, ethics, law, and devotion to the common good, rather than pure identification with a nation-state.

Scholar J. Peter Euben writes that for the Greek philosopher Socrates, “patriotism does not require one to agree with everything that his country does and would actually promote analytical questioning in a quest to make the country the best it possibly can be.”

This clearly says IT’S YOUR DUTY TO YOUR COUNTRY AND FELLOW AMERICANS to turn bring to the public attention information of crimes committed by government officials, since they do not represent the devotion to the common good of its people.

Government no matter how big or small is nothing with the people that grant its power. Those with important titles in front of their names are no different then you or me. So why should we grant them the authority to inflict harm and mistreat other human being in our country’s name? What gives you the right to say we should protect them by taking part in hiding their injustices? You have no right, the same as they have no right to inflict their bombs and chemicals on others. 

Again, its your patriotic duty to protect the nation from those that intend to do it harm.  The situation we are in today is due to those that do not feel the same.  They hijacked our nation, and it is now up to the true red blooded American’s to take it back by force if necessary be fore it too late and they cause the death of untold millions more with an unprovoked nuclear attack on another country or false flag domestic operation.
