Call to Action

John McClain, GySgt, USMC, ret.

Vanceboro, NC

Dear Fellow Americans,

In reading General Vallely’s call to action, I get the broad call to action, for all who possess a will to make an impact on our government and our Nation, to stand up, stand out, and be heard.  This action is something our founders’ peers all understood, and were not at all loath to do, being willing to stop an elected member on the street at any time, and address any issue of concern at the moment.  If we wish to be Sovereign Citizens, as the General’s call to action requires, we must act the part and cannot shrink away from any of the actions necessary.

At the same time, I see the call to those elected to consider seriously the meaning of what took place, and how it came to pass in this way.  This piece of correspondence is a call for our elected representatives to act as “representatives,” discard the notion they have been elected to rule us, and cement the notion in their minds that they are citizens–no more, and certainly no less.  As such, they represent regular citizens.  To perform their jobs according to their oaths, they must remain citizens in their own minds and remain representatives of citizens in each and every act they perform in office. This modus operandi should be reinforced by us, The Sovereign Citizens of The United States, holding them to this standard.  We must be ready to call any failure to this standard as it occurs, allow a moment for repairing such an error, and deal with any failure to do so as a deliberate confrontation.  We must then deal with such a confrontation as a violation of the oath taken, thereby making that citizen as one willing to lie under oath, and thus committing treason.

This call to action comes only because, over the past centuries, we have lost sight of what is an active citizenry, which is what the Sovereign Power of a Free Nation looks like in action.  Hence, we have been constrained by misunderstanding, merely to voting, and not exercising the full citizen we must be if we are to be Sovereign Citizens.  The title of Sovereign Citizen includes responsibilities, duties, and commensurate authority.

Authority over something is never of any value without a concurring responsibility over that same thing.  If we are indeed Sovereign over our government, it is far from enough merely to vote and elect fellow citizens to office. It requires that we constantly keep those representatives apprised of our consent of what they do and well apprized to that which we will not accept as it stands. In such cases, we must demand that their actions be re-directed to alter such things to comport to our proper, constitutional demands.  These proper, constitutional demands support entirely both the concept and the physical workings of “the republic” as defined and described by our Constitution.

General Vallely has had cause to formulate the strategy only because we, as Sovereign Citizens, have ignored the full measure of our responsibility.  We have allowed our government to become infected by well-known and identified diseases, which have killed many Nations in the past.  Despite this failure in our recent and long term past, we still maintain the additional responsibility of taking a stand at every turn.  When we identify those who violate the trust of their oath, we must summarily demand their investigation by the proper convening authority to determine if they are in violation of their oath or the law.  If they are in violation, they must be removed for cause, whether accepted and acted upon by civil demand or by criminal prosecution.  If criminally prosecuted, alleged violators appear before a federal court, and prosecutors present the alleged violators’ actions before a judge and jury.  If a legal determination is made that they indeed have violated their oath of office and/or committed felonies, they shall receive prison time.  The proper authority shall appoint or hold an election to select another citizen to finish out the convicts’ terms.

By our long practiced ways of government, it would appear that we have no authority but that of election and protest.  Both of these actions have been carefully fenced in such that it appears that we can only do either of these two things within the confines of the rules the government establishes for us regarding these things.  We must remember that we are Sovereign Citizens, and we allow elected representatives to make only such decisions as we have specifically established in The Constitution.  Unfortunately, however, all the decisions of which we fail to maintain rightful control, we allow our elected representatives to make by default.

What General Vallely says is that it is time that we re-assume those rights we have allowed to fall by default.  We must resume our rightful authority over all that is not specified as the authority of elected federal officials.  We must resume our rightful authority of all that are not delineated to the elected members of State Government.  We must further recognize that all that is not delineated remains ours as both our rights and our responsibility.  No group of elected state or federal officials possesses the right to any un-delineated authority and rights of Sovereign Citizens.  Only the Sovereign Citizens can delegate and delineate additional authority to elected state and federal officials.

In a well-regulated Marine Unit, all members possess a set of specific duties, but they are also well aware of the casualties of war.  Consequently, they recognize they may need to assume the duties of those superior to them in rank and/or those subordinate to them in rank.  This modus operandi exists because they are given a mission to accomplish with a set of specific duties and standards to maintain.

The assigned officer of the mission is in full command authority as are the staff non-commissioned officers (NCOs) and all those assigned to the mission.  While those in the top ranks are to establish the plan and establish the general principles to follow, all of the unit live under the same rules and regulations.  Additionally, they retain the same fixed standards.  Hence, shortfalls of those of  higher rank are highlighted by the fulfillment of the same by those of lower rank and vice-versa.  Regardless of who makes them, errors are noted, called out, and accounted for because errors cause missions to fail.

We essentially assign the status of “officer” when we elect representatives for ourselves and our communities.  Thus, we are responsible for placing such erroneous actions before “The People.”  We are responsible for correcting and fulfilling erroneous actions in accordance with standards and mission demands.

As in a combat mission, even the lowest ranking person with the least amount of responsibility is still essential to mission success.  The same is true if we wish to retain our place as Sovereign Citizens.  To maintain our status as Sovereign Citizens, we must be continually vigilant and take required essential actions as need arises.

General Vallely calls all those who recognize themselves as Sovereign Citizens who possess every right to be, to do, and to fulfill completely that duty to accomplish the mission as necessary.  No single voice is sufficient to drive our enormous Nation.  However, all of our voices sounded in concert on the same issue and stated intent are sufficient when coupled with the prospect of being removed from office by a clear and coherent movement of a majority of the people who are responsible for the district or state that put a citizen-representative in office.

Our responsibility is to demand no more authority than allowed by the Constitution.  By knowing the Constitution well and maintaining it as our own “controlling legal authority,” we understand how it covers all of us as Sovereign Citizens.  However, at the same time, we cannot accept from elected fellow citizens anything less than complete fulfillment of the Constitution as they serve in the office to which we elect them.

It seems as though the federal government is capable of doing anything because of its pervasiveness, which appears overwhelming.  This is true because the majority never shows up in the same place at the same time.  Instead, we see the federal government from our private and individual perspectives.  For a proper perspective of how a Sovereign Citizenry should appear to be seen, we must periodically assemble as a large mass.  We must do this while still capable of keeping our hands on the wheels controlling the engines of private and public businesses.  Thus, for our own edification, we display the fullness of “Sovereign Citizenry.”  As we show ourselves to each other, and to those we elect to serve us, we remind ourselves that we possess mutual obligations of duty to each other.  We are also responsible for seeing that all is done, shirking nothing, and, if we see erroneous actions, taking proactive measures as all sovereigns should do to rectify the situation.

General Vallely has called on us to take a stand, because our set of public servants have long forgotten what we, The Sovereign Citizens, look like when we are assembled together en masse.  To some small degree, we have shown such an assemblage in our Tea Party activities. However, on November 2, 2010, we elected a new set of representatives for an established and specific purpose.  It is time now to establish what we, The Sovereign Citizens of America, look like when we possess maximum participation in showing our faces.  We must assemble to remind elected officials that, as large as government appears to the individual looking in from the outside, governments, both separately and all combined together, pale in comparison to “The People” when We are Assembled and show ourselves.

When one embarks on a fresh purpose, it is well that the Authority and the Intentions are well represented in the face of those who are to feel the impact of our re-assuming our rightful position as the Sovereign Rulers over ourselves and our elected government.  We will not accomplish this without a good, solid showing of our ranks and file.  We need to establish a day and purpose whereby we can all take the time and show our elected government, what We, The People, look like in the fullness of our Standing up for Ourselves and Our Authority over them.

As a “lame duck Congress” returns to do its own bidding before the elected actions of The People are fully enacted, it would behoove us to do this as soon as is feasibly possible and with the greatest vigor we can rise up.  Once one has taken a measure of the land, one can always back down from one’s statement of establishing authority and responsibility.  If one does not take that stand and proclaim the rightful totality of authority and responsibility, it is far more difficult to take back, piecemeal, that which was relinquished by failing to act than it would have been to take the moment to gather together and Stand up for ourselves, and our very real authority as Sovereign Citizens.

Subject: Re: Call to action

I agree with what John McClain has said in the above piece.  A specific thing he said is:

We need to establish a day and purpose whereby we can all take the time and show our elected government, what We, The People, look like in the fullness of our Standing up for Ourselves and Our Authority over them.

My question is: HOW do we physically do this? What is the act that demonstrates what he calls for? What head count on the grounds of the Capitol or the land between the Lincoln and Washington Monuments can be achieved and what head count would be necessary to make the point? Fax counts and email counts to members of Congress? Do hundreds of thousands of people gather in the grounds and parking lots around the Pentagon and march across the bridge and around some planned route? What number will it take to even make the evening news?

Now, if the nation was to act together and levy a self-imposed ban on flying for a weekend so that all thee parking lots at Reagan Airport were empty and all shopping was similarly targeted so that numerous parking garages were available, together with the Pentagon, the golf course, etc. so that hundreds of thousands of cars could be parked and all occupants could walk to various rally points and fall into a march column then back to their cars, that would indeed be a compelling spectacle. Maybe [we could hold] a couple of rallies and speeches along the various routes.

This is the kind of demonstration that lends itself to military planning, command and control, operations, and logistics. It would also probably cost a lot of money and who knows how many would actually participate. We would also need to cancel all soccer games and sports events that day, otherwise lots of Americans would be just going about their lives as if it is going to last forever.
