Federal Government Has Legally Nullified The Bill of Rights

The federal government, especially in the last 13 years, has successfully nullified the Bill of Rights.

Oh, what is that you say?  No they haven’t?  So how do you figure?

I know what you’re saying.. “The government can’t take what they didn’t give to me.”  Or, “My rights are granted to me by God, not the government.”  If you’re saying anything like that, then you are correct, but if you’re a “law abiding citizen,” then you have already let the government take or infringe on at least some of your rights, since most laws infringe on or completely destroy your rights in one way or another.

So let’s look at the Bill of Rights and then compare it to laws, restrictions and actions that you follow in order to be a good little citizen.

Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Yet the government has come up with something called “free speech zones.”  These are areas that “authorities” set aside for political activists to practice their “freedom of speech.”

It doesn’t matter that a U.S. court deemed this sort of thing acceptable, courts only give opinion, they don’t make laws.  You are in charge of this country and yourself, or at least you were.

H.R. 347, the “Federal Restricted Buildings and Grounds Improvement Act of 2011,” expanded the Secret Service’s authority to regulate protests in and around areas where persons under Secret Service protection are located.  Basically stating that if a building or grounds are being protected by the Secret Service, then not only are you not allowed to protest there, but they can arrest you for practicing your free speech.

Since H.R. 347 is still law, then this must mean that you have given your consent to it and have let the government legally take your right of free speech from you.  After all, the people run this country, don’t they?

Amendment II

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

This amendment has been the subject of debate for many years now.  While pro-gunners have had many wins in this column recently, the American people have still let the government take this right, or at least part of it, away from them.

The explanation is very simple.  Depending of where in the United States you live, you have the right to bear arms as long as…….

• there are no pistol grips
• 30 round magazines
• 15 round magazines
• folding stocks
• suppressors
• carry handles (AR-15′s)
• bayonets
• have a certain amount of American parts on them
• barrels are a certain length
• you’re not a felon
• you never got caught smoking a natural plant
• you’re licensed
• fingerprinted
• insured
• carrying it in accordance to what the authorities demand

and a seemingly countless amount of other restrictions.

Let’s not forget that even if you lawfully own a gun in the state of New jersey, if you are caught with it, you are immediately going to jail, if or until they clear you.  This is NOT freedom!

H.R. 4332 (the Hughes amendment) bans all civilians from owning and transferring fully automatic weapons.  That is of course unless the authorities allow you to own them and if you’ve completed the proper paper work and paid enough money.

Of course, recently, if you live in Connecticut, you’re staring down the barrel of outright gun confiscation.

Amendment III

No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.

July 10, 2011, Henderson Nevada police broke down the Mitchell family’s door with a steel ram and arrested Anthony Mitchell for refusing to let the police use his house as a “tactical advantage” lookout point in an investigation.  The police did the very same thing to Mitchell’s parents who lived on the same road.

While there are not very many third amendment cases out there, acts like what happened to the Mitchell’s is not an uncommon occurrence.

Amendment IV

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Instead of giving case by case examples, it will be a lot easier to just list the ways this amendment has not only been broken but completely destroyed.

• NSA illegally spying on all of your computer and phone interations
• Warrantless no-knock raids and searches
• Stop and frisk
• Stop and I.D.
• DUI and other random checkpoints
• Forced roadside blood draws to check for drugs/alcohol
• NDAA ( National Defense Authorization Act )
• Everything the TSA does
• Police stealing your phone to erase video of them breaking the law
• Police stealing your phone in an attempt to find reasons to arrest you
