Chris Hedges: How Elitists Live to Rule

The left have proven to be weak. They are the big losers today. To avoid making their same mistakes, Paul Jay with Real News’ Reality Asserts Itself recently looked at reasons for this weakness with Pulitzer Prize winning journalist Chris Hedges. They discussed the psychology of the New Wold Order’s super rich. As somewhat of an insider, Hedges, co-author of New York Times best-seller Days of Destruction Days of Revolt, shed new light on the NWO.

Hedges attended Colgate University, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature. He later graduated as a Master of Divinity from Harvard Divinity School where he studied under James Luther Adamas. In May 2008, Hedges was awarded an honorary doctorate by the Unitarian Universalist seminary Starr King School for the Ministry, in Berkeley, California. Hedges speaks English, Arabic, French, and Spanish and studies Latin and Classical Greek at Harvard.

On October 5, 2014, Hedges was ordained a minister in the Presbyterian Church and installed as Associate Pastor and Minister of Social Witness and Prison Ministry at the Second Presbyterian Church Elizabeth in Elizabeth New Jersey. He had been rejected for ordination thirty years earlier. H explained that “going to El Salvador as a reporter was not something the Presbyterian Church at the time recognized as a valid ministry, and a committee rejected my call.”

In 2012, after the Obama Administration signed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), Hedges sued U.S. government members claiming that section 1021 of the law unconstitutionally allowed presidential authority for indefinite detention without habeas corpus. In the suit, Hedges v. Obama, other activists joined him, including Noam Chomsky and Daniel Ellsberg. In May 2012 Judge Katherine B. Forest of the Southern District of New York ruled the counter-terrorism provision of the NDAA unconstitutional. Obama’s administration appealed the decision and it was overturned. Hedges petitioned the Supreme Court to hear the case but that was rejected in April 2014

Hedges grew up poor, but with scholarships, he was able to attend a private school with the elite. He attributes his strong dislike for the elite to what he saw day in and day out at school and throughout the day living with the nation’s richest children. He learned their sense of entitlement, the dehumanization of workers, and mistaken belief that their wealth will insulate them from the coming storms.

They do not believe in population reduction because they want to reduce pollution or the so-called “carbon footprint,” save the poor animals, or even protect finite resources. They want population reduction because first, they are eugenicists who see some people as genetically inferior to others, and second, because a culled population is easier to dominate. Again, fewer minds working means fewer problems solved and fewer individuals to rock the boat when the state abuses its power.”
