What Happens When You Make A Pro-Gun Movie With A Christian Worldview? Hollywood Censors It!

What Happens When You Make A Pro-Gun Movie With A Christian Worldview? Well, Hollywood censors it by labeling it with a rating of “R.” Dr. Patrick Johnston, husband of The Activist Mommy Elizabeth Johnston, is not only a doctor, but an author and movie producer. His first feature film, The Reliant that stars Kevin Sorbo, was censored by Hollywood despite there being no graphic violence, gore, nudity nor language. Yet, due to the message in it, it was censored. He joins me in this episode to talk about what happened and the film and where he’s going from here to influence the culture.

What happens is you give Christianity yet another black eye by insinuating that Jesus condones men being about violence.
The right wing extremist notion that Jesus condones someone shooting someone else for any reason is wrong, any way you view it.

Would I shoot someone? Damn right I would , if it was a situation where I was stopping a rape or someone who was trying to abduct a kid, or if my own life was in danger.

But I would indeed have to ask Jesus for forgiveness.

Jesus raised the bar from “an eye for an eye” to “turn the other cheek”. To imply anything otherwise is heresy.
I live in a rough world where men make tough choices.
I will not likely ever be a martyr for Christianity because I am someone prone to the human trait of fighting back rather than doing the right thing, which is passive submission.
But I will never try to justify my actions by trying to normalize my bad behavior.
I view those who preach the notion of Christianity by violence no differently than queers who try to normalize their sexual practices and justify it by waving it in Gods face.

If you want to sin, fine, you can be forgiven, but don’t build a golden calf about it.

The only instance of Jesus or any of the apostles resorting to violence for self defense was a situation in which one of the aposltes whacked a soldiers area off.
Jesus’ response to it was to give the apostle some shit about it and to heal the soldiers ear.
The apostles were present when Jesus was crucified, but they did not take up arms.
Jesus raised the bar in the new testament, He set a higher standard than “eye for an eye” which is “turn the other cheeek”.
Any attempt to insinuate that Jesus in any way condones using weapons against another human is heresy.

Would I use a weapon on someone in self defense? Damn right I would. But I would be committing sin.
Men do a lot of things that are sinful in their own best interest, but to try to condone the behavior by twisting scripture to fit the behavior is heresy.
