Knucklehead Of The Week: Cori Bush Has A Vivid Imagination

This week’s top knucklehead hails from the great State of Missouri and is the most recent addition to that lovable group of clowns known as ‘The Squad.’ Representative Cori Bush (D-MO) made a startling claim this week by asserting, “When we marched in Ferguson, white supremacists would hide behind a hill near where Michael Brown Jr. was murdered and shoot at us. They never faced consequences.” You say you don’t remember Ferguson protesters being shot at by white supremacists? Your failure to recollect such incidents is understandable.

Before we examine Bush’s foolishness, we must first recognize a job well done. It’s unclear exactly who is responsible for determining membership in “The Squad,” but whoever that group or individual is, they are doing a fantastic job. For a group wishing to maintain a prominent level of knuckleheadedness – and that group already included AOC, Rashida Tlaib, and Ilhan Omar – they must be certain to guard against letting in any run-of-the-mill-idiot. Undoubtedly, they must maintain certain standards.

Do they have an admissions department? Is there a qualifying exam which they administer requiring candidates to achieve a certain level of buffoonery? Whatever their process, whatever their criteria, they’re doing one helluva job.

Unsurprisingly, this latest silliness from Rep. Bush came within the larger debate over the recently concluded Kyle Rittenhouse trial, in which Mr. Rittenhouse was rightfully acquitted on all charges. On Monday, as the attorneys made their closing arguments in the case, Bush made her outlandish claim on Twitter and she quickly caught flak from all directions: left, right, and center. The reason for the backlash was clear… everyone knows Bush was lying.

At the risk of sounding like an old man, it’s hard to believe that the Ferguson riots happened over seven years ago. For many of us it seems like those events happened just yesterday. But even for those whose memories are foggy on the matter, they know such insanity never happened. We know there weren’t white supremacists hiding behind a hill in Ferguson shooting at black folks because that would have been a much bigger story than the riots themselves. Such actions would have received more attention than the actual death of Michael Brown, which kickstarted that mayhem. If there had indeed been white supremacists shooting at black activists – or any activists, for that matter – it would have been one of the biggest stories of this young century; bar none.

Perhaps Bush was intentionally trying to deceive folks, but it’s also possible she believes her own lies. For the left, for those like Cori Bush and AOC, they are so heavily invested in their narrative that they may not be able to differentiate between musings and reality. This concept goes back to the whole “speak your truth” nonsense. They require their minions to believe that white supremacy is an existential threat. They want their flocks to be terrified so that those sheep look to the Democratic Party for protection. Truth be damned, Cori Bush needs her voters to feel like threatened victims so that not only do they come out and vote for her every two years, but they also remain vocal in their support.

Such lies are not without consequence. Anyone with half a brain called BS the moment we heard it. But there are those who believe. Make no mistake, there are brainwashed Democratic zombies who now believe that their beloved Cori was dodging bullets from bad white guys seven years ago while she was only trying to attain ‘social justice.’

There are millions of leftwing voters who question nothing. Whatever Jen Psaki, or the CNN talking heads, or Cori Bush tells them, they eat it right up: hook, line, and sinker. If Joe Biden were to go on national television tonight and demand that every American stand on their head and shoot wooden nickels out of their ass, within minutes we would have millions of Democrats across the country dropping their drawers and standing on their heads, while grunting and making funny faces.

If you’re wondering why Cori Bush would try to sneak one past us like this, wonder no more. It’s because she’s a knucklehead, that’s why.

Honorable Mention #1: Beto O’Rourke announces his candidacy for Texas Governor.

The happiest person in America this week had to be Kyle Rittenhouse, but the second happiest was unquestionably Texas Governor Greg Abbot. Assuming Beto even makes it through the primaries, which is not a given, we should expect Abbot to clobber Beto on Election Day. It’s true that Beto made his 2018 U.S. Senate race against Ted Cruz closer than many had thought, but that was a midterm election with a sitting president from the opposing party: Donald Trump. The party in power always loses votes in a midterm election. And let’s not forget, Beto did lose by 215,000 votes to Cruz. This time around, Beto won’t have Donald Trump bringing out Democrats to vote, and there will in fact be an extremely unpopular Democrat in the White House named Joe Biden.

Beto, who is a cross between Jeff Spicoli and Curly from Three Stooges, began imploring his bong-smoking followers for a “$1 gift” within hours of throwing his hat into the ring, and he reportedly saw promising results. But Beto is going to need a lot more than $1 donations. Early polls show Beto down by a full nine percentage points to Abbott, and based on the media’s recent inaccuracies with election polls in favor of Democrats, we can be certain that the actual margin is probably in the teens.

Honorable Mention #2:  New York Times columnist Sarah Jeong downplays inflation concerns as being “driven by rich people.”

Jeong’s exact words were, “All the stuff you see about inflation in the news is driven by rich people flipping their sh*t because their parasitic assets aren’t doing as well as they’d like.” So, let’s consider the following: How out of touch does one need to be to think that it’s the rich folks who are being hurt by inflation?

The reality is, the rich folks are doing just fine right now, and they’re going to continue to be fine. They have money invested in precious metals, real estate, and cryptocurrency to hedge against inflation. They’re not going to be changing their lifestyles one iota. But the young couple who just saw the price of diapers double, they’re hurting. And for the elderly widow who likes to cook up a brisket every Sunday, the skyrocketing cost of beef is having a direct impact. For New York elites like Jeong and the rest of the NYT staff, they don’t care about the cost of diapers and brisket, but the rest of us do.
