100-Year-Old Marine's Emotional Response To What The US Has Become: "This Is Not What We Fought For" (Video)

It’s amazing to hear from the older generation that fought against Nazis and Commies and to hear their responses to what these united States have become in the wake of these battles. Recently, a 100-year-old marine gave his emotion, tear-filled response to what he sees America has become.

Military veteran Carl Spurlin Dekel says that the land of the US is not what he and his fellow soldiers gave their blood, sweat, tears and lives to advance liberty.

“I’ve lived a good life. I’ve had a lot of love and happiness,” he said during an interview with Fox 13. “It was an honor for me to serve my country and if I had to do it again and I was the same age. I would do it. I guarantee you.”

“People don’t realize what they have,” Dekel added, as he began to become emotional. “The things we did and the things we fought for and the boys that died for it, it’s all gone down the drain.”

“We haven’t got the country we had when I was raised, not at all,” he continued. “Nobody will have the fun I had. Nobody will have the opportunity I had. It’s just not the same and that’s not what our boys, that’s not what they died for.”

“You just remember everything’s beautiful and live every day to the fullest. Just enjoy everything you possibly can,” Dekel concluded. “And here I sit at 100. They tell me I’m 100. I don’t believe it sometimes. Because I don’t need to worry about age. I’m not going to, I just keep on keeping on.”
