Mom Charged After Intentionally Ejecting Toddler From Moving Car
A Louisiana mother is facing charges of attempted murder after intentionally ejecting her 20-month-old daughter from a moving car. Lasasha Allen sat her toddler on the front passenger seat, without a seatbelt, and threw open the car door as she sped around at curve at 45 miles per hour ejecting the child from the car. The toddler was flown to a hospital in Shreveport, Louisiana and treated for multiple injuries such as a fractured skull and several broken bones.
According to Franklin Parish Sheriff Kevin Cobb, Lasasha was trying to get the attention of the child’s father. Seeking a reaction she texted her baby’s father the night prior and told him the little girl had fallen out of a car window. The next morning after telling the lie Lasasha decided she needed to do something to substantiate her story so she staged the accident.
