ABC’s caption under the video reads, “ONE LESS: Scott Pappalardo owned his AR-15 rifle for more than 30 years. He even has a Second Amendment tattoo on his arm. This weekend, he destroyed his gun “to make sure this weapon will never be able to take a life.”

It is illegal to shorten the barrel of a rifle to less than 18 inches…
yeah that is why he then cut it again. it was even posted as by the youtube uploader that he cut it again to negate that

Actually, it’s14.5″, most AR’s in America have a 16″ barrel.
Also, if he cut through the serial number, it is a felony to deface the number.
