Sproutly Canada Inc (CNSX:SPR) Takes On Two Prominent Beverage Executives

Sproutly Canada Inc (CNSX:SPR) (OTCMKTS:SRUTF) is demonstrating that taking on prominent beverage executives isn’t solely the domain of Big Cannabis.

Today, the company announced the appointment of Constantine Constandis to its Advisory Board. Mr. Constandis is a former C-Level executive with over 34 years in the CPG/beverage industry. He was a regional president at global spirits and wine producer Pernod Ricard SA (RI:EN Paris)—the €37 billion public-traded producer of such brands as Absolute Vodka, Jameson, The Gelnlivit and BeefEater, among others.

Mr. Constandis is also the former CEO of TSX-listed Corby Spirit and Wine Ltd., the makers of popular domestic brands such as Polar Ice Vodka, J.P. Wiser’s Canadian whiskies and more. Prior to that, Mr. Constandis spent years toiling as a senior executive at Seagram Company Ltd.

Obviously, the company’s cannabev aspirations are in stronger position under such prominent stewardship. Sproutly Canada gains both direct operational advisory expertise, and insider connections with the appointment. It may also streamline and improve the company’s international build-out, which came to the forefront earlier this month.

This is the second major beverage executive to join the company in two days.

Yesterday, the company announced that Michael Bellas—CEO and founder of Beverage Marketing Company (www.beveragemarketing.com)—has joined the Company’s board of directors. Mr. Bellas brings over 45 years of experience working with leading beverage companies across all beverage categories.

Perhaps the most notable aspect of the appointment was Mr. Bellas tacit endorsement of Sproutly Canada’s APP Technology. While we wouldn’t expect anything less, it’s the second time this month that Sproutly Canada has received lofty praise for its water solubility extraction tech. Global Canna Labs CEO Paul Glavine expressed similar evangelism last month, which was presumably one the primary reasons why he signed on to begin with. With the appointment of former Tier-1 beverage executive Constantine Constandis to its Advisory Board, Sproutly Canada is clearly accruing capable talent for its ongoing commercialization push. While the stock market has mercilessly punished pre-revenue, build-out cannabis LPs, the company remains meticulously focused on putting the proper corporate structure in place. This should pay immense dividends when it really matters, as beverages sporting Sproutly’s water-soluble technology start penetrating marketplaces worldwide in a few quarters time.
