Lack of compassion?? whataya mean?? They get free everything here in the U.S. And they come here ILLEGALLY, does the word ILLEGAL mean anything to you?? Do you pick and choose what laws you can break ??.. Je$uit trained Gobernor of California should be arrested for encouraging people to break the law by saying that ‘people from mexico DON”T need any paperwork or permits to visit California..The United States has the most lax immigration laws in the world, these immigrants should try going to New Zealand and see what happens when they show up for FREE stuff. New Zealand won’t even take people in if they are overweight or have any major health problems. This country bends over backwards to accommodate immigrants more than any other country in the world, just look at all the bi lingual accommodations and considerations we give them, and you have the nerve to make such silly statements. How would people from Honduras or Mexico or Guatemala like it if millions of Americans were invading their countries and taking their jobs and committing crimes and causing problems??? Do you think they would like it???.. I have no lack of compassion for them. I just think that they should remain in their own country instead of coming here and taking jobs for dirt wages, which in turn increases our rate of unemployment. If only we could create jobs within our economy at the rate we are letting in immigrants. Eh?

Case in point: Should we stop paying taxes to them? Possibly, but that only works when EVERYONE does it at the same time. How do you propose that could be done, Deb? It’s important to note here that if someone doesn’t pay their taxes they either get their wages garnished, their property stolen from them by the IRS, or they get thrown in jail by that same entity. I don’t know if you live here in the US but I guarantee you would pay your taxes if you did. Either that, or you need to come up with a way to get the vast majority of people to follow suit in not paying. Good luck with that in the US or in any other country for that matter. You can’t necessarily hold every US citizen accountable for the tyranny that has infested itself in our government.

Not only that, but a fair deal of tax money goes to things everybody wants, such as building infrastructure. I’m happy to pay taxes for certain things, not so happy to pay them for others. I would say you’re generalizing to a large extent.

Our unemployment rate is too high as it is, and you’re implying that we should not pay taxes to a “brutal” government entity such as the DoD. So by that logic, you assume that people fleeing other countries that have tyrannical governments should be allowed to come here and live under another tyrannical government to work and pay taxes here, while watering down our job market? Cheap labor just means the government makes more tax money off of the backs of citizens. We pay a federal income tax here in the US, but I don’t think we have much control over how that money is distributed within the various federal “alphabet soup agencies.”

Your comment is a slap in the face to all poor and blue-collar working Americans. If you think that our government is corrupt and needs work then I would suggest that these immigrants go back to their own countries and try and improve and protest their own governments instead of coming here and stealing jobs from the folks that have already established themselves here in their own place.

After I was certain that they would not come back to start another search for me, I ran to my apt and called the police. So, what compassion should WE citizens have for these ‘poor’ downtrodden Mexicans?!! A few more facts (and then I’m done reading your crap liberal views): A new study found that both illegal and legal immigrants, who typically work low wage jobs, receive MORE in government assistance each year than struggling American families do!
Illegal immigrant households receive an average of $5,692 in federal welfare benefits every year, far more than the average “The Center for Immigration Studies, in an analysis of federal cost figures, found that all immigrant-headed households — legal and illegal — receive an average of $6,241 in welfare, 41 percent more than native households. As with Americans receiving benefits such as food stamps and cash, much of the welfare to immigrants supplements their low wage jobs.
The total cost is over $103 billion in welfare benefits to households headed by immigrants.
Lets come back to CRIME: (ICE) reported that 2013 and 2014 alone, it set loose in the U.S. more than 66,500 illegal immigrant criminals who had been arrested in the U.S. for additional crimes and had over 166,000 convictions among them: 30,000 for drunk or drugged driving, 414 kidnappings, 11,301 rapes or other types of assaults and 395 homicides. In a fairly short time period, ICE reported 2,423 of those illegal immigrant criminals had already been “rearrested and convicted of new crimes” in the U.S.- including felonies and gang offenses.”
Children in unlawful immigrant households receive heavily subsidized public education. Many unlawful immigrants have U.S.-born children; these children are currently eligible for the full range of government welfare and medical benefits. And, of course, when unlawful immigrants live in a community, they use roads, parks, sewers, police, and fire protection; these services must expand to cover the added population or there will be “congestion” effects that lead to a decline in service quality.
In 2010, the average unlawful immigrant household received around $24,721 in government benefits and services while paying some $10,334 in taxes. This generated an average annual fiscal deficit (benefits received minus taxes paid) of around $14,387 per household. This cost had to be borne by U.S. taxpayers. Amnesty would provide unlawful households with access to over 80 means-tested welfare programs, Obamacare, Social Security, and Medicare. The fiscal deficit for each household would soar.
If enacted, amnesty would be implemented in phases. During the first or interim phase (which is likely to last 13 years), unlawful immigrants would be given lawful status but would be denied access to means-tested welfare and Obamacare. Most analysts assume that roughly half of unlawful immigrants work “off the books” and therefore do not pay income or FICA taxes.
Reports show that overall immigrant population reached a record breaking 42.4 million in 2014, a 2.5% increase from 2013.
