La Paz, Baja California Sur : The Office of the Attorney General of the Republic (PGR), through its Delegation in the State of Baja California Sur, initiated an investigative portfolio for the commission of a crime against health, after locating and securing of 41 packages of marijuana on a beach near La Paz.

The operation was carried out thanks to an anonymous report, which indicated that on Playa El Difuntito, several boats had come into shore to unload various packages that apparently contained marijuana , crystal meth and cocaine. Men arrived in trucks without plates of circulation and tinted glasses for the pick up.

In response, a joint operation was set up with elements of the Federal Ministerial Police, Secretary of the Navy and State Police, which were established in the place, conducting an inspection along the arroyo near the beach securing 41 packages with a weight of 289 kilos, 140 grams, containing in its interior a green and dry vegetable with the characteristics of marihuana.

For this reason, the respective investigation folder was started, and the secured enervants were made available to the Social Representative of the Federation, the Deputy Attorney General for Regional Control, Criminal Procedures and Amparo (SCRPPA), who integrated the investigation folder to determine probable criminal responsibilities according to Law.

So far the amounts of cocaine and crystal meth have not been revealed nor what happened to the delivery or pick up crews.
