Municipal agents from San Francisco de Conchos were ambushed by drug traffickers in Valle de Zaragoza, they abandoned their patrol vehicles and walked away with their weapons.
San Francisco de Conchos, Chihuahua.- Four elements of the Security Directorate of the Municipality of San Francisco de Conchos were deprived of their freedom on Sunday night, when they were circulating in the official units in Valle de Zaragoza, where they were intercepted by a group of armed subjects.
The security elements were identified as Angel Carrillo Rey, Ramón Horacio Galindo Castañón, Gustavo Ramírez Jiménez, Salvador Omar Araiza Lozoya, who were traveling in two official units of the corporation, were surprised by the armed individuals, who forced them to board their vehicles,their whereabouts are unknown at this time.
According to the first reports obtained by the State Attorney General’s Office, the four security elements were kidnapped by a criminal group operating in Valle de Zaragoza. They surprised the elements in the community identified as “El Tigre”, that was the last time they knew anything about them.
The units of the security elements that patrolled the place were abandoned in the outskirts of the El Mirador restaurant, where the criminals also took advantage to steal their weapons, they took four short weapons and four long weapons belonging to the San Francisco de Conchos municipality.
The security agents are originally from La Boquilla and two more from San Francisco de Conchos, they are identified as Angel Carrillo Rey, Ramón Horacio Galindo Castañón, Gustavo Ramírez Jiménez, and Salvador Omar Araiza Lozoya. And so far it is unknown if they are still alive or not, up until now the authorities have not been able to locate the security agents or know any indication of their whereabouts.
After the incident was reported to the authorities of the State Attorney General’s Office, elements of the State Security Commission, ministerials, Secretariat of National Defense and Defense Police set up a security operation in that area of the state, to locate and investigate what happened with the security elements.
The more than 50 security elements that came to the place made tours of San Francisco de Conchos, La Boquilla de Babisas, Camargo, Valle de Zaragoza and even Satevó, where they looked for signs, information or evidence that would allow them to find the whereabouts of the four missing elements.
On the other hand, until now the identity of the persons who kidnapped the security elements is unknown. However, they continue working to find the same people who orchestrated these facts and present them before a judge to pay for what happened last Sunday, July 14.
