The Founders intended (and up until the 17th Amendment changed it, and the 17th needing to be repealed – which is a whole other discussion) the States’ US Senators were meant to Represent the Rights and Interests of the States! Their current (as with most of their past) rhetoric (read: LIES) can be short of full confiscation, but Liberal Icon, former #SCOTUS Justice, Stevens (and others) have let the cat out of the bag and have honestly stated their end-game/goal is indeed full-ban and confiscation.
 
The Left always twists the language, they always “soften” their tone, because if honest about true intent – they’d never get elected. Just as “Comprehensive Immigration Reform” is always used as “Code” for FULL AMNESTY and FULL CITIZENSHIP (giving them the Vote) when they peddle “Common Sense Gun Reforms” it is all “Code” and just a “stepping stone” for thier desires of “COMPLETE REPEAL OF THE 2ND AMENDMENT” and GUN CONFISCATION!
