Perception and the Layers of Reality

It’s obvious to some of us that we are surrounded by and sometimes affected by realities that differ from the one in which we are essentially immersed.

More often than we’d like to accept, those realities that abut or intermingle with our personal reality cause a number of reactions, one of which is a “diagnosis” of madness (insanity).

Most humans shrug off instances of “synchronicity” or déjà vu, feeling that they are moments of significant inconsequence.

But they are glimpses of alternate realities, sometimes happening so frequently that those perceiving them, and letting others know they are perceiving them, are considered mad (insane or mentally ill).

Persons who see a UFO or humanoids debarking from a flying saucer are not mad (insane) but adepts perceiving an enigmatic reality, a reality that is quite real, not imagined.

Hallucinations are, generally, perceptions of a bizarre reality, a fraction of a reality, or a glimpse of another reality that exists side-by-side with what we “normal” folks experience.

Shamans knew they were experiencing other realities and exploited their unique experience.

Alchemists were shamans gone rogue, beginning to try and perceive other realties but side-winded by greed or a search for mmortality.

Persons who’ve had a UFO experience or perception, generally, like those who have moments of déjà vu, shrug off their experience, excited initially but indifferent shortly thereafter. There is, as with alchemy, no worthy remuneration, generally.

While ufologists seem to be intensely interested in the UFO phenomenon but treat it as a scientific experiment or a thing to build a hobby upon, a kind of career.

Serious UFO enthusiasts, like artists, photographers, writers, scientists, et al. have to dig into the reality of UFOs – sorry Zoam — as those notables dig into the reality of their concentrated reality

Kevin Randle deals with this in his latest blog posting somewhat, but I’m hoping to encourage UFO buffs to find a way to peel away the scrim that keeps the essence of UFOs (or their paranormal interest) hidden.

It is looking through a glass darkly.

Gathering a list of UFO sightings, past and present, take us nowhere,

Pinching the barrier that separates UFO events from our reality takes a new methodology or technological (“magical”) approach that provides the innards of what a UFO percipient is seeing (or experiencing).

Fortune telling, swapping lead for gold, spending nights hoping to grab a glimpse of a UFO, digging around UFO archives are futile.

The UFO reality needs to be snagged beyond perception. Something new, unique is needed to “grab” the phenomenon holding it still until it is fathomed.

This UFO snagging has to be a totally new, something not considered or thought of up to now.

It’s not SETI signal retrieval. It’s not analysis of old sightings/cases. It’s not photographs or film of lights in the sky. It’s not reportage of sightings. It’s not spectral examination, well maybe.

Whatever it needs to be has to differ from the folly of science or alchemical tricks or the hazy interpretation of shamans high on hallucinogens.

Otherwise, UFOs will remain enigmatic for some and irrelevant for others.
