Roomies & Visitors Make Writing Nearly Impossible

I’m already struggling to write these days, but some days are worse than others.

Sleep is visiting, at the moment chopping wood outside from the huge weeping fir tree that fell in that historic snowstorm we had last winter. Goodly enough, and I enjoy his visits. We talked about his last year pulling out of a lifelong low-level depression, and how that has changed his life. He continues to explore responsible drug use– including things I have yet to try, like micro-dosing of shrooms. It’s like a whole new world of color and energy opened up to him.

And… I can’t write when he’s around. He works but then interrupts me and when I’m on a roll, I can get completely side-tracked by our conversations and then I lose time.

And Cat is home for the holiday, so my weekend will be taken up socializing with her. She doesn’t get hints, and I still feel terribly guilty telling her to please leave me alone, so I can do stuffs! Plus we have activities awaiting us and all that.

The next few days worth of writing will be delivered late– but I WILL write them! I need to get back into the habit. I’m starting to feel lost without my writing process helping me digest events and emotions.
