TIME FOR ALL TROOPS TO COME HOME

It is time for the U.S. to fully withdraw all troops from both Iraq and Afghanistan and consider this page in history closed. The political climate in both countries isn’t going to change any time soon and certainly will not because of our armed forces being there.

The reason for going to war in Afghanistan is a moot question now days as the man declared responsible for the death, destruction of 9-11 has been out of that country for quite some time, and the people there consider our presence an occupation.

The U.S. Puppet President chosen and placed in power there considers the presence of American troops an obstacle to progress in moving the country along to a stable future.

The political climate in Afghanistan made the Soviet Union occupation a disaster and sent them home like whipped dogs and our military will be no different. Military victory was achieved there shortly after the invasion but political victory remains impossibility because the people will not accept a government whose ideas and ideals come from a foreign nation considered Infidels in every sense of the word. The U.S. needs to accept this fact and move on.

The war in Iraq was a sham from the beginning and one had to have the mentality of a mushroom to believe what we were told as reasons for going to war there in the first place. Both the first Gulf war and the Iraq war were exclusively Bush wars and had nothing to do with right or wrong but with the Bush families desire to claim Iraq as a trophy.

The ousting of Saddam Hussein has drastically destabilized the whole area, as he was the only strong force that kept the radicals and countries like Iran from gaining any presence in the area and attaining political and arms strength. As bad, as he was he was a beacon of stability in an unstable region.

Islamic Terrorists should congratulate the U.S. for removing a giant obstacle keeping them from attaining the numbers of followers and the political influence they enjoy today. No single endeavor from any country could have helped more than removing Saddam Hussein from power.

Now we worry about the sinister ambitions of nations like Iran and North Korea who are moving ahead with technology and science which may threaten the fragile peace in the world but it is the United States who is responsible for these very nations achieving the advances they have. These nations and countries like them are products of our meddling into the internal affairs of other countries when we had no business in doing so. It is also a result of a lousy plan by the U.S. in interfering in these countries without a clear picture of an outcome. 

The U.S. has not really won a war since WW II and isn’t likely to win any in the future. This is fact because we simply do not believe in fighting a war on the level wars must be fought on. We believe we can invade a country like a bunch of Ballerinas and maintain Political Correctness while doing so but in every instance the enemy actually acts like they are in a war and maintains the ideal of “all is fair in war” and eventually sends us packing without achieving anything but embarrassment. 

The fact is war is Hell and everyone involved including innocent civilians must pay the price if victory is the goal otherwise it makes no sense in getting involved.

The sad fact is as long as America maintains a politically correct compassion for innocents while fighting a war we can expect to loose all of them.

Some may think such an attitude is barbaric but all wars are barbaric and reduce those involved to Neanderthals.

Human civilization is at a crossroads where we must resolve our differences through other avenues rather than resorting to conflict. We as a modern society haven’t the heart to fight wars anymore. The only problem is most of our enemy’s do not share this idealism. 

The actual world is much different from the fantasy world most of us live in.
