MYSTERY BABYLON USA

MYSTERY, BABYLON is a country or city that has raised the ire of the God of Heaven to the point that He singles it out for his Holy Wrath near the end of the Book of Revelation. There have been many candidates for this dishonor including the Catholic Church, Saudi Arabia and Iraq, the location of the previous Babylon. However, no country or city fits the bill like the United States and New York City in particular.

And that is not a good thing.

To get started, let us see why the other candidates cannot be MYSTERY BABYLON. Quite simply none of them have the universal appeal, financial influence and military power that can compare with the United States. Many Biblical scholars that have misidentified MYSTERY BABLYON are often at a loss to explain why then the United States is not found in Biblical prophecy.

I disagree with the position the United States is not mentioned in Biblical prophecy. Not only should it be there but it should be neck deep in the middle of it. I say this for the following reasons with focus on New York City:

1. It is home to the pre-text for world government known as the United Nations (what I like to refer to as the UN-dead).

2. The UN has an NGO called Lucis Trust whose membership includes a plethora of high level academic, political, and financial people. Lucis Trust original name was Lucifer’s Publishing Company; that is not a typo.

3. The financial headquarters of the world including Wall Street and New York Federal Reserve is located there.

4. The headquarters of what many now call ‘the Deep State’ the Council on Foreign Relations or CFR is headquartered in Manhattan.

5. New York City is sometimes considered the media capital of the world.

6. Washington DC is home to an exceptionally large Egyptian obelisk known as the Washington Monument. This must be an affront to a Holy God who spent a lot of time in the Old Testament warning Israel against idolatry from countries just like Ancient Egypt.

7. The Great Seal of the United States features the Great Pyramid of Giza with an all-seeing eye representing the Egyptian sun god Ra or Osiris. The open eye also hearkens back to the Garden of Eden where a certain serpent told Adam and Eve their eyes could be opened, and they could become God like.

8. The United States was founded on Christian fundamentalist principles and has now to a very real extent devolved into a cesspool of anything goes sexuality, idolatry, and New Age beliefs.

What does this all mean?

1. means that the United States has positioned itself to face the ire of a Holy God. When one looks at a line by line breakdown of Revelation 17 and 18 it appears the entity named MYSTERY BABYLON is in fact the United States.

Here is the description of MYSTERY BABLYON (Revelation 17:3-5):

So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names and blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. (Verses 3-5).

Here you can see that “she” is rich yet full of sin especially sexual sin which was mentioned above. The Book of Revelation is about the End Times which we are now in. What nation in the world comes close to the United States’ reach and influence alluded to here?

A little later it turns out MYSTERY BABLYON is identified as a woman that sits on a beast of 7 heads and 10 horns. Without going too off subject, a similar entity was mentioned in the Old Testament Book of Daniel. The beast is generally regarded as representing the world. So, the woman (the US) sitting on her represents control over the beast. Right now, few will argue that the US is the number one driver of world events. Bythe time we get through end of Revelation 17 it turns out that the beast will “hate the whore” (i.e., the woman riding the beast or the United States) and “shall eat her flesh and burn her with fire”.

This is bad. This tells us that the world will essentially gang up on the United States and move in with some kind of nuclear attack, EMP assault on the electrical grid, a biological attack, computer warfare or some combination thereof. Already we can see this taking shape as the world is growing tired of the United States starting wars all over the world, exporting debt and graft from the Federal Reserve banking system and negatively influencing populations with its sexual fornications and pornography. Countries like Russia and China are taking a terribly negative view of the US. And now we cannot even figure out who our President is. Need I remind the reader this is the person with his or her hand on the nuclear button? Not that the world is perfect, but it has some right to be angry and worried about current events in this nation.

A read through of Revelation 18 describes the complete devastation of MYSTERY BABYLON. God has singled her out for His holy wrath amid end times events. Of course, there are tens of millions of good Christian people in the United States. God is begging them to “come out of her” which may not mean a physical leaving but leaving in a spiritual sense. This means accepting His free gift of salvation through His Son Jesus Christ (John 3:16, Acts 16, Romans 10).

I wish I could end this on a better note. Perhaps one can take solace in the fact that there’s an infinite God Who is infinitely good and these events, however awful, are a very short vapor trail when compared with God Himself and His kingdom.
