Taliban Trophy Pictures – What the President of Afghanistan Had to Say

During a press release, Afghanistan’s president, Hamid Karzai, labelled the pictures of US paratroopers posing with what seems to be the body parts of rebellious suicide bombers as “disgusting.” The pictures quickly gained attention and hype over the Internet and were regarded to as Taliban Trophy Photographs. The president of Afghanistan quickly utilized the images to fight for better Afghan freedom and control, stating further that the only means of stopping such an atrocious acts and traumatic experiences was for his armies to gain control over their own nation.
American administrators have already ordered a full investigation following the launch of these graphic photos displaying U.S. soldiers posing with some members of the Afghan law enforcement department in front of the camera, lying beside the severed parts and corpses of the suicide bombers. The U.S. soldiers caught in the picture were later found out to be in the 82nd Airborne Division. Up to 18 photographs, which were produced last 2010, were directed to the LA Times by a still anonymous sender, yet there have been leads which may prove the anonymous sender was also a soldier. The sender also stated he wanted to depict what he referred to as a “failure in disciplinary measures and leadership.”
Stated by the current president of Afghanistan, “It is such a disgusting act to take photos with body parts, and then share it with others.” This disgraceful incident is the latest in a line of embarrassments to ensue U.S. forces in the nation.
In fact, just recently, another heinous incident was discovered when U.S. Marine forces were found to have produced a video of them urinating on dead Taliban soldiers who were killed in the war. After a month, copies of the Koran were negligently destroyed at a U.S. Airbase, triggering riots and marches all week long. The event resulted in 30 fatalities, hundreds of wounded rioters and the retribution murders of 6 people. Prior to that, an American solider was also reported to have kill 17 civilians when he went on a shooting frenzy.
Citing these events, Karzai states that the only means of putting an abrupt end to these atrocious experiences is by an expedited and complete transition of security duties to Afghan troops. U.S. defense representatives, worried that the images may result in revenge barrages, were reported to have spent weeks of their time trying to discourage the papers from releasing the issues to the public.
The papers released two of the photos, one of which was displaying the soldiers carrying the chopped legs of the suicide bomber and making a thumbs-up sign. The second one depicted the paratrooper posing and smiling with what was seemingly the hand of the dead Taliban soldier positioned on his shoulder. There was a combined effort to hold back the graphic pictures after they were publicized.
Finally, the anonymous sender of the photos stated that the paratroopers had felt somewhat appeased to know that the Taliban bombers where murdered by their own contraptions and the photos were allocated within their team members. U.S. representatives are now implementing the necessary actions and consequences for the perpetration of this heinous act as most of the soldiers included in the pictures had been identified.
