Mayor Adams defends NYC public service announcement on surviving nuclear attack: 'Better safe than sorry'

BATTLEFORWORLD.COM | July 13, 2022: New York City Mayor Eric Adams on Tuesday defended the emergency management agency for implementing a public service announcement broadcast to ensure surviving a nuclear attack. – The mayor pushed back on the idea about the PSA being “alarmist,” with Adams saying that it’s always good to give New Yorkers tools to help them protect themselves against possible threats. “I’m a big believer in better safe than sorry,” said Adams. And “I take my hat off to (the Office of Emergency Management). OEM took a very proactive step and added, ‘Let’s be prepared.’”

As the West is well aware of what they are doing, instigating and escalating annihilation, Adams referenced the war in Ukraine, linking the PSA to the fact that Russia has refused to rule out a nuclear strike under certain conditions. And said that the Big Apple is always a prime target for global actors. “We’re still one of the top terrorist threats,” he said, and “We always have to be prepared as New Yorkers.”
