I don’t believe this war is about conquering and taking Russia’s natural resources. That is an unrealistic pipe dream and impossible to happen unless Russia were conquered from within by traitors the same way America has been conquered. War from external sources only strengthens the internal power structure generally speaking, unless you can sow overwhelming discontent to catalyze a coup. Even if Putin is overthrown, it’s doubtful any replacement would sell out Russia and its resources, unlike America.
