FACEBOOK hacked NO YOU ARE

So you think you are talking to a personal friend on IM? Think again. The party is over.

Recently almost all the FB accounts are being hacked. Your profile picture and your name are used to create a new face book account  and then they want your friends to add them, your friends think it’s you and accept. From this moment, the pirates can write what they want under your name!! …..they are scamming people into many different deals and such. ALSO Beware of who you accept as a new friend and any requests they make of you concerning business or otherwise. They will talk with you in the messenger like they are your friend. They are not. They are scammers and hackers. They want your money. Apparently Facebook is not adviseing anyone of this problem or the dangers involved as of late. 

The age of technology has advanced for us all but the criminals use it to defeat the purpose and turn people away from using it. Trust is no longer a viable option in social media. The criminals have won and have control of our information. Your picture (or image used) location, birth date and other information you provide on your account is open to them.

If you are not absolutely sure whom you are talking with ask them specific questions to properly id them and if it is a new friend request, contact your friend by email or phone and ask them if they know them. YOU must verify everything. If you do not you may have new problems even legal ones that you are unaware of. The hacker can commit crimes in your name.

Facebook is a handy and useful tool for us but it can now be your nightmare. Yes this can happen on any Social Media. Just cancelling your account will not stop those that already have your information. 

What can you do?

You can delete all of your current offered personal public information to prevent any further gathering and using of it by hackers. Contact your friends and use a code when contacted by IM. As the hackers may watch you and learn, use a different code daily. If you feel that someone has hacked your info, report it. 

DO NOT be fooled by these scammers and hackers.
