Softball-Size Hail Hits Ohio

An emergency official has reported soft-ball size hail near Latham, Ohio, while other areas of Ohio are reporting hail damage and tornadoes. The Ohio Valley is under a tornado threat

Golf ball-sized hail reportedly damaged homes, vehicles near West Union, Ohio late this afternoon.

Earlier today, damaging thunderstorms were predicted for Wednesday afternoon and evening from Ohio all the way to Alabama, according to Accuweather. 

 High winds and hail will be the primary threats, with a few tornadoes possible.

Tornados reached as far north as Ontario, Canada earlier today.

It was what some called a bumpy night weather-wise for much of Northeast Ohio and parts of West Virginia last night. Severe and slow-moving thunder and lightening storms set off numerous tornado warnings and brought torrential rains to Cuyahoga, Lorain, Medina, and Summit Counties.
