El Nino still Cometh! The new August Outlook for the September & October Wildcards! Snow & Hurricanes
The extent of El Niño’s strength won’t be known until September maybe even October. But based on several interesting signals, in the form of mammals, birds, and fish showing up where they don’t typically belong, it’s looking as though this El Niño is going to be a very powerful event.
The birds, fish and mammels of the Pacific are already heading to the warmer waters and they know the ocean better than the models we use to predict El Nino’s. We are leaning to the weak to moderate El Nino and this may bring some real weather wildcards like a Fall (Polar) Vortex, Some early snow and an East Coast Hurricane.

I’m here in the desert southwest where I’ve had less than 1″ precipitation this year. Golly, I hope there’s a significant El Niño. We really need it. I check this stuff every few days. The forecasts I’ve seen from the National Weather Service call for a very light El Niño, if any. Hope they’re wrong.
