Techniques like cloud seeding are localized and short-term. Government reports, such as those from the Government Accountability Office, note that tracking and centralized federal oversight of localized weather modification remain sparse. Severe wildfires are driven by prolonged droughts, high temperatures, dry vegetation, and lightning strikes or human ignition sources, intensified by broader climate trends. Food shortages stem from conflict, economic disruption, extreme weather, and supply chain failures rather than intentional atmospheric manipulation.
