2012 - Reaching God

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

If we are all universally connected, then God, as you know him (or her) sits at the center of the higher consciousness. Religion should not impede or interfere with that very special connection you have with God. Regardless of your religious beliefs you are entitled to have a nurturing and loving spiritual connection with God. This is not to say that religion does not have its benefits for individuals. It certainly offers structure and a basis in theology that can be a road map for learning the foundation of your religion. However, that same religion should never cause you to act violently toward others, place distance between you and God nor should it encourage you to pass judgment on a fellow human being for their beliefs.

Opening Your Dialogue with God

We are all divinely imperfect with our own set of challenges and assets to celebrate. Your dialogue with God gives you an opportunity to not only seek solace and peace but to draw on the power of that connection to face the life’s difficulties. This connection is so sacred and beautiful that it can support you in crisis and serve as a space in which to share all of the sweetness life offers you. Your conversation with God is happening all of the time even if you don’t hear it. Choosing a time and a place for focusing on your dialogue with God is up to you. The method matters not as long as it frees you to embark on a positive and powerful journey with God.

Spiritual Mediation

Spiritual meditation often begins with prayer at the center. If you are Buddhist you may choose the Metta Karuna prayer. If you are a mainstream Christian you may choose to create your own prayer or say a prayer learned in your church. Catholics may choose to pray The Holy Rosary or find brief moments for meditation by saying The Hail Mary. The epitome of spiritual prayer is the immediate feeling of peace and wellbeing you receive. It is always opening a pathway on which walk you may side by side God while having an eternally loving dialogue.

God is Love and So are You

Love is at the center our relationship with God and that love is unfiltered and pure. This purity is acknowledged when we pray on our intentions as in the in the Metta Karuna,

“Oneness of Life and Light,
Entrusting in your Great Compassion,
May you shed the foolishness in myself,
Transforming me into a conduit of Love.”

We are encouraged to pray selflessly rather than selfishly. At the heart of our relationship with God is our willingness and desire to be a beacon of light in the world; to extend our kindness to others and ask for the strength to not only lift ourselves but others out of adversity and into a place of happiness and joy.

If we were to analyze a most prayers we will find that the basis is love. The basis is not a selfish request to win a trip to Maui or have all of our problems solved; the basis is to connect with God who is love, the very love you were created from, and to share the wealth of that love using your natural talents and abilities with others. Within us, as written by Louise L. Hay, is an “infinite well of love”, it is as important to your being as your heart, lungs and brain. Its intangibility does not discount its existence, it is confirmed by your presence on Earth…..[Click Here To Continue Reading]
