You've Been Chilling Way Too Long

Sometimes God has to “stir the pot” in order to grow,
stretch, and push us into greater.  Many
of you have prayed the same prayer, quoted the same scriptures and gave the
same testimony for years.  “Growth” has
become a word you often use, but haven’t felt for a long time.  God has proven to you He’s more than capable
of doing exceedingly and abundantly more than you can ask for, so you’ve become
comfortable, relax, and content in your spiritual walk.  You’re able to quote Romans 8:28 (All things
work for the good…); Isaiah 54:17 (No weapon formed against me…) and Philippians
4:13 (I can do all things through Christ…) in your sleep, but when God pushes
you out of your comfort zone, your world is turned upside down.

Instantly you feel you’re under attack by the enemy…  You can’t fathom your struggle is for
greater, so you give the devil credit for something God is doing to improve you…  You’ve paid your tithes, served in the
community and you’ve done everything a good ole Christian should do, so why is
this happening to you?  Well, you’ve been
chilling too long…  You’re resting in a
place where God used to be, and He wants to bring you to where you should be.
You know a place of greater…  A place of
greater strength; where you’re wiser; better and more equipped to live the
purpose for your life.  You’re holding on
to yesterday’s blessings, yet God is saying I have much more than you could
ever imagine TODAY…

The truth is… 
Sometimes God has to “break” in order to “make”.  He has to “break” the chains of old thinking,
tradition, comfort zones, resting in yesterdays blessings, and holding Him to a
place He used to be.  You’re holding Him
to where YOU felt most comfortable; prosperous and blessed, but He wants to
bring you to where you’re destined to be and in order for this to happen, YOU
HAVE TO GO THROUGH SOME THINGS…  Many of
you confuse a growth opportunity with a test, but God is not trying to see if
you’re going to pass or fail, HE’S WANTING TO GROW YOU…  He has to “break” you of your comfort zones
to “make” you stronger, wiser, better, more grateful and thankful, and to make
you more relevant.  You’re wondering why
your testimony is no longer effective.  Outside
the fact they’ve heard it over and over again, but they’re unable to relate to
it because you’re holding onto 20 years ago. 
God is stretching you not only to bless and equip you, but for you to
bless others.  Your struggle is not in
vain, IT’S FOR YOUR GAIN.  But are you
willing to go through the pain? 

Right now you’re having a “Spiritual Workout”…  God is adding on weight to expand and grow
your muscles (faith), not to make you cry… 
He’s there to spot if needed, but it’s up to you to do the reps…  You must believe the workout plan He has for
you is only to help you reach your full potential.  Nothing you’ve been through is in vain, only
for your gain.
