Connected the dots…

“God, please connect
me to the right person.  People that can
help me get my foot in the door. Amen.”

That was my prayer in 2012. 
At that time, I did not know the process God was going to take me
through.  I did not know the tears I
would cry at night to fall asleep.  The
depression I would fall into, the doubt I would face, and the anger I would
have to go through in order for the dots to be connected.  My faith was tested.  The enemy attacked my mind with negative
thoughts.  I went through high’s, low’s,
and very deep down low moments.  I was
exhausted and did not know what else to do during this process.  Before I continue allow me to give some background,
I graduated in 2012 with my MBA.  I had
hopes and dreams and I naturally figured God will allow these things to happen
in an instantly.  However, God quickly
reminded me He is in control.  I searched
for a position from 2009-2013.  I had a
job, but it was not the career I desire to have with an MBA.  I would always hear two things, I was over
qualified because of my MBA, or I was under qualified because of my
experience.  I felt as though I was stuck
and I was not sure how I was going to get out of this cycle.  The Holy Spirit lead me to start networking
and every time I would go to a networking event, I would say a quick prayer, “God, please connect me to the right
person.  People that can help me get my
foot in the door. Amen.”  I met this
lady and we developed a relationship. 
Two years later, God answered my prayers.  That same lady helped me get my foot in the
door. 

The Truth is…God had a process for me to go through.  The process made me uncomfortable.  It pushed me to areas I could have never
imagined, but through the entire process I never lost Faith.  It was always something deep down that told
me do not give up.  Hold on a little
longer, God has not brought you this far to leave me now.  He will never leave me nor forsake me.  As I stated earlier it was not easy, Faith is
an emotional rollercoaster because you have Faith and you believe and trust,
but then there are moments when your Faith is shaken and you wonder did I make
the right decision.  Is what I believe in
really going to come to pass, or is my current situation my destiny?  I believe and trust God, but I wondered
sometimes did I hear from God or was it me set in my ways and simply trying to
pin it on God.  Now looking back on the
journey, the process was necessary for God to do what He does best and that is
show up and shows out.  He connected the
dots so beautiful from my current position helping me in my new position.  The experiences we may think are so trivial;
God is setting us up for something great, so take every experience as an
opportunity to grow.  I want to encourage
you whatever you are going through and you think God is not hearing your
prayers, He is! When you feel like giving up and not sure why you are on this
journey, keep going!  Faith will stretch
you, and it will make you uncomfortable at times, but when your visions and
dreams come to pass, you will look back on the journey and see a different
person.  You will see a strong person
with a mighty faith.  You will see a
person with a testimony.  You will see a
person that understands the process, but most of all you will see how God
connected the dots.
